Conflict Management

Living in today’s society, there is, unfortunately, a risk of an individual, male or female, being attacked physically or mentally in the work place or in the community. This risk is escalated with anti-social behaviour problems on the increase and the risk of theft for mobile phones, computers and cash.

Fortunately, there are simple, but extremely effective, skills available in order to combat such abuse. Obtaining these skills is equally as important as learning CPR, or any other lifesaving skill. And, just like lifesaving skills, so many people are not equipped with the essential training needed.

I have worked with a range of organisations and businesses including the NHS to provide Self-Defence & Conflict Management Training. I offer a range of courses to suit all needs for those in the following fields:

Frontline Staff and Community Groups Training

Purpose of training: to equip frontline staff and community workers with the skills needed to help combat potential verbal, mental or physical attacks.

Examples of potential candidates:
  • Security personnel
  • Entertainment door-persons
  • Community and lone workers
  • Nurses/carers
  • Receptionists
  • Car park staff

All courses can be booked as a full day or a half-day, but it is strongly recommended that frontline staff and community workers receive the full day training in order to be fully equipped in dealing with potential abuse.

Full day courses run approximately 7 to 8 hours, depending on attendance. They include two ten-minute coffee breaks and one hour for lunch. Half-day courses run for approximately three hours. They include one ten-minute coffee break.

Women’s Personal Safety & Confidence Workshop

Purpose of training: to equip women with the confidence and skills needed to help combat potential verbal, mental or physical attacks inside and outside their working environment or in the wider community.

Examples of potential candidates:
  • Women working with young people
  • Women living with domestic violence
  • Women in high risk professions
  • Women working in the community
  • Women in need of confidence boosting

All courses can be booked as a full day or a half-day. Women’s groups can decide which course duration is most suitable depending on level of risk. A female assistant can be arranged at an additional fee.

Purpose of training: to equip young people, students and staff with the confidence and skills needed to help combat potential verbal, mental or physical attacks in the workplace or wider community.
